Former Super Eagles striker, Jonathan Akpoborie has said that politics remains the major problem destroying Nigerian football.
Akpoborie said some members of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) are beneficiaries of the bad system that has been deeply rooted.
He further added that the many crises of the country's football is as a result of the politics that has been interwoven with the game.
"Politics is actually destroying Nigerian football, in Nigeria when we draw up a plan its always scuttled by politics.”
"If we want to enjoy the game like the Europeans we must separate football from politics. I don’t feel sorry for the Football Federation board members because they benefited from their political connections, so they must face the consequence.” the former international said.
