Sports Ancelotti Resigns as Real Madrid Manager

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that he intends to take a year out of the game for health reasons.

“I can assure you that I have not lacked opportunities, from Italy, England and Germany,” the 55-year-old told Il Giornale. “And I will not lack [offers] between now and next year.

“But I said it in the press conference and I repeat: I will stop for a year, also because I have a very serious reason for stopping.



“I have to have an operation because of my cervical stenosis. For some time, it has been affecting my hands and if I lose any more time, it could pass into legs, so I have an appointment for surgery.

“And, frankly, I do not know how long I have to be physically stopped, in terms of the post-operative phase and the subsequent rehabilitation.

“I will have the operation in Vancouver, Canada, where I have already got a house with my wife.

“I will rest, between Madrid and Canada. Because the two years at Real have been very tough, believe me.

“Nobody can imagine how much training Real takes out of you, in terms of physical and nervous energy.

“Then, I will return home for another event: in a month, my grandson will be born. That’s something that I cannot and do not want to miss.”

Yeah, you give them cancers.

Last season you guys went trophyless and Madrid had 2 major trophies. If not for Ancelotti's health you guys woulda been out of all competitions by March.

LOL @ese. Ancelotti wasn't in operating in his full capacity. Remember when they were demolishing teams left right and centre last year? That trend was supposed to continue till the end of the season, but his health impeded the team.

Towards the end of the season he didn't make good decisions, plus Modric, an important player got injured. You think you guys'd make it without Iniesta or Messi? Puhleazz

Nothing like trend in football and truth be told, Ancelotti was asked to resign, his health issues came to light recently.
BTWN Barcelona made it not because of fantastic Iniesta, which we both know hasnt been in form nor King Messi but because of team work. Like I always say, you dont watch La Liga so youre excused

Those ones I mentioned are the most useful players you have. If they got injured you know you'd be found wanting. Others might make good passes and all but Messi has the killer instinct. Suarez & others play well but without Messi, barca is like Real Sociedad.

Some years ago, it was without Xavi and Iniesta, Messi and Barca will flop. Well, its better to be a Real sociedad than a Manu
