Sports Musa Vows To Lead Eagles To Victory Against Tanzania

CSKA Moscow forward, Ahmed Musa has vowed to lead the Super Eagles of Nigeria to victory on Saturday in their second African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania.

Musa has been handed the captain band since the substantial captain, Vincent Enyeama opted out of the game due to the death of his mother.

This is not new to the Russian-based striker, who did the same earlier this year, when he captained the team in a friendly against South Africa, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

"For me, I think am not under pressure to lead the team. I did it before in South Africa and by the grace of God we would return with victory," said Ahmed Musa, who has been on splendid form for his Russian army club this season having scored seven goals in all competitions thus far."

"We watched the Tanzania game yesterday (Tuesday) and we know how they play," he said.

"We don't have to under rate any country in Africa and we would just go there and do our best."

"Like always I normally say I will score but in this game I will say I will give my best, it does not matter who scores, what is important is for us to win"

Tanzania is on a high altitude and Nigeria will fly in and out so as not to be adversely affected by the weather conditions caused by such a geographical location.

"For me, I think Africa is Africa, we don't have to worry about the weather. I don't think there would be any difference, it’s just for us to go there and get victory," he maintained. AfricanFootball
