Nigeria - A former aide of ex president Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Wariponmowei Dudafagh, has distanced himself from Dame Patience Jonathan's directive that all her loyalists should support the second-term bid of Governor Seriake Dickson in the forthcoming governorship election in Bayelsa State.
Dr. Dudafagh says the directive does not include him and he has not changed his position that if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) fields Governor Dickson as its flag bearer in the forthcoming election, it will fail woefully.
In a statement issued by the former secretary to the defunct pro-Jonathan's group, the Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN) and a former Bayelsa Commissioner, Gesiye Isowo, denied that the Former First Lady directed him and many others to support the incumbent Governor on his second-term bid.
Dr. Dudafagh was previously expelled from the PDP by the faction of the Party loyal to Governor Dickson over alleged anti-Party posture. He was also supposedly one the sponsors of the victory of Abiye Tarabina of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) during the State House of Assembly election.
