Loyalists of President Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar are reportedly involved in a fierce power tussle over control of the Adamawa state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Naij reported that the two opposing groups appeared ahead of the 2019 general polls: one supports Atiku and another backs Buhari. Abubakar’s camp is headed by Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla, while Buhari’s is being led by Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), David Babachir, the three senators representing Adamawa state and Alhaji Haladu Mohammed, (Sardauna Jimeta) a main financier of governor Jibrila’s poll.

However, Boss Mustapha , deputy national vice chairman of the APC when contacted said that there is no crisis within the party.

I believe all President Buhari needs at this point in time is for all leaders to rally round him in the arduous task of delivering
on his and the APC's mandate instead of some of them thinking erroneously that the shortest cut to get recognition by PMB
is to cut and slice Atiku and forming opposition within the APC, forgetting that a house divided against itself will never stand.
Apc Chieftains unite and support PMB.
