Several schools in Umuchigbo community, Abakpa Nike in Enugu State have closed down following clashes between the members of the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) and Fulani herdsmen.

Leader of the BNYL, Prince Chimezie Obuka, alleged that the herdsmen launched an attack in the area but encountered the BNYL security personnel returning from Uwani.

He described the battle as “serious”, lasting three hours.

“We will continue to defend our people,” a defiant Obuka said.

“The President (Muhammadu Buhari) should stop his kinsmen because we are ready to match violence for violence, burning down our church is what we will not tolerate next time," he added.

Blood is ticker than water you can not massacre somebody's mother, father, sister, uncle, aunty, wife, children without any cause and expect the people to fold their hands and watch, more over this massacre that has the backings of the powers that be from all indications, there is a limit in which one can tolorate injustice slavery domination, If our govt is very sincere all top security officers in the sate should have been fired and arested because of the delibrate lapses which paved way for the massacre. From all indications this govt is definatly excuting some hiden agenda through fulani herdsmen, I am in full suport of the youths because over quietness has inboldened the attackers. Is better for one to die defending himself and his people than to watch animals massacre u and your people
