On Wednesday, three policewomen who were on a mission to help one Mrs. Okebuse,a landlady at Oregbeni quarters, evict her tenants were beaten and stripped naked.
According to VANGUARD, trouble started when the tenant insisted on taking her bath before going to the police station, but the police officers said she should follow them. Fracas was said to have ensued and other residents in the area joined the tenant to beat and strip the police officers.
An eyewitness who witnessed the entire event claimed that the landlady always used police to harass her tenant.
The three policewomen who were from Oregbeni Police Station are currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
