On Tuesday, about 66 pressure groups from different parts of Nigeria gathered in Abuja to declare support for former military ruler, Muhammadu Buhari come 2015 presidential elections.
The Director-General of the Buhari Support Centre, Alhaji Umaru Dembo, who was present during the meeting assured Buhari of its support in his quest to become the next president of the country.
He told newsmen who were present at the gathering that the group believed that Buhari was the best candidate to move the country forward because his "integrity, honesty and accountability and his track record''.
Dr Peter Oganto, National Chairman of Project Reach forth Nigeria, another group, also said the group would work for the realisation of Buhari’s presidential ambition in 2015.
The Secretary of Buhari Friends Organisation, Mr Athanasius Okon, said the group had commenced education of its members to ensure they got their permanent voter cards.
"We have told them that with their voter cards, victory will be ours if they come out in their numbers and bring at least one person along to the polling units.
"It is each person tell one; no one should come out alone, we must take advantage of the overwhelming love Buhari enjoys by coming out to vote for him,’’ Okon said.
