The Angola's Foreign Affairs Minister, Georges Chicot, has announced in Brazzaville after a meeting with Congolese President, Denis Nguess that Angolan and Congolese governments planned to hold two meetings in Pointe-Noire and Cabinda by the end of February to resolve their border dispute.

"In the coming days, there will be two meetings between the Angolan and Congolese technical teams and the ministers to work for the strengthening of our bilateral cooperation,’’ the minister said.

Report says that in October 2013, Angolan soldiers made an incursion into five Congolese villages, which the southern African country claims belong to it, and held many Congolese troops hostage.

Following negotiations between the military authorities of the two countries, the Angolan troops withdrew from the Congolese territory and the hostages, who had by then been taken to the Angolan enclave of Cabinda, were released.
