All Progressive Congress (APC) senators are allegedly embarking on frantic moves to mobilize their members and aggrieved PDP senators to ensure that President Jonathan's impeachment process begins with the next senatorial meeting next week.

It was gathered that the senators that were part of the plot to initiate the impeachment move against the President had wanted to commence that on Tuesday, but could not due to the closed-door session that the senate had with the Service Chiefs that lasted for about eight hours.
Some PDP senators, who spoke on condition of anonymity, lamented that the President does not appreciate the sacrifices they made to save the Presidency when the opposition party tried to raise issues concerning certain policies.
They cited the ongoing congresses of the party, where it was alleged that the National Working Committee and the Presidency had surrendered the party machineries to state governors, who now try to stop majority of the senators from returning to the Senate in 2015.
