Sports Arsenal agree a-four-year deal to sign Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina from French Ligue 1 side, Nice.

Ospina is expected to flying into London next week to complete the paper work on a four-year deal with Arsenal. shot stopper is expected to put pen to paper for the North London club next week.

The Colombian currently on holidays having played a sterling role in helping his country get to the quarter-final stage of the 2014 World Cup,will be undergoing his medicals next week.

He is expected to earn £60,000-a-week deal and will compete with Wojciech Szczesny to be Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper next season.

With Lukas Fabianski having departed for Swansea, Arsenal looked at signing Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall to provide competition for Szczesny but they couldn't match the keeper's valuation by the Welsh club.

The arrival of Ospina will take Arsenal’s summer spending to around £45 million, following the arrivals of Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy.
