Sports Asisat Oshoala and other Falconets players invited to the Super Falcons

Following their exploits at the just concluded FIFA under-20 Women's World Cup tournament in Canada,some members of the Falconets team have now gained instant promotion to the Super Falcons.

The players will be part of the 33-woman preliminary list released for the African Women's Championship taking place in Namibia next month.

Star of the tournament,Asisat Oshoala will lead the pack alongside four of her teammates: Loveth Ayila, Ugo Njoku, Halimatu Ayinde and Sarah Nnodim were the players drafted to compete with the senior girls.

Although Chinwendu Ihezuo, Mariam Ibrahim and Uchechi Sunday are already members of the Super Falcons.

Super Falcons coach Edwin Okon,noted that he has been impressed with their performance in Canada where Nigeria finished second,losing the finals to Germany.

Nigeria will be aiming to reclaim the AWC crown which they lost at the last competition to Equatorial Guinea.
