The financial situation of some Kogi state workers has just gotten worse.
According to reports, a robbery gang on Wednesday attacked a new generation bank and carted away N25m - money meant for the payment of salaries for the Local council workers.
Two policemen and two staff of the bank were also killed during during the robbery operation.
Eyewitnesses said the attack happened around 10am in the Ogaminana, Adavi Local government area of the state.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ACP. Williams Aya who confirmed the incident said the police are strategizing to nab the culprit but so far no arrest has been made.
He said the command will make sure that those behind the dastardly act are fished out and severely punished.
