Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi state has reportedly sacked over 2000 aides.
PUNCH reports that the sack was announced in a statement which read, ''The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda, has approved the disengagement of all Special Advisers (with the exception of the Special Adviser, Due Process).
''Also, all Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Personal Assistants (with the exception of those who work directly under His Excellency the Executive Governor or the Deputy Governor)''.
Although the statement didn't disclose the number of persons affected by the sack a source close to the governor said, ''I don’t know how many of them were sacked but they can be more than 2, 000 because even shortly before the elections, the Governor was said to have appointed over 70 aides''.
