SunNews reported that on Wednesday around 10pm the residence of President- General of Egi Peoples Assembly (EPA), in Ogbogu in Ogba /Egbema /Nodoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief Oris Onyiri, was bombed.
The PDP Chieftain was not at home when the blast occurred.
Two persons were killed by the blast, One of the victims was said to be a relative of Chief Onyiri, popularly called Stainless, while the other was a member of the terror gang, who was shot dead during a gun duel with some security men. Other members of the gang who bombed the PDP's chieftain's residence fled after one of them was killed.
According to speculations, the blast was politically motivated. Sources claim the PDP Chieftain may have been tipped to be the campaign director of Chief Nyesom Wike governorship campaign organisation.
