NIGERIA - At least 100 British soldiers will be going on a mission to train the Nigerian army to equip them better for the fight against the Boko Haram sect, The Telegraph is reporting.

It will be remembered that the UK had already sent some of its specialists to train Nigerian troops and sent out three RAF Tornados in search of the over 200 abducted Chibok girls.

Now, British Military chiefs are planning to increase Britain's support for President Goodluck Jonathan, whom the newspaper described as under 'enormous pressure' from the terrorist sect.

The new troops to Nigeria may also be providing advice on military organization and technical support.

A top military source told the paper: "We have a small military training mission in Nigeria of only around a dozen. We are thinking of boosting that by maybe up to 100 because the Nigerian Army is making woeful progress against Boko Haram. We have a large Nigerian population in Britain and there is a real fear that if Nigeria falls into chaos it could result in attacks here."
