Nigeria - Former Bayelsa State governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha has warned President Muhammadu Buhari not to bother trying to extract a dime from his predecessor because Goodluck Jonathan has no money.
Speaking in an interview published by Vanguard, Alamieyeseigha said although he he enjoys favors from the ex-president, the latter isn't as rich as people thought.
"Yes, I had unlimited access to Jonathan and I used to have free access to his home. If I met him eating, I would join him and so on. Jonathan has no money.
"So, if Buhari is looking to extract money from him, he won’t find.
He said it wasn't possible for Jonthan to hide the money somewhere offshore because "that cannot happen anymore in this world."
He added that Jonathan isn't poor. He's a "quiet and highly contented Nigerian but not a rich man." he said.
