Sports CAF Confederations Cup: Warri Wolves to face AC Leopards

Warri Wolves have been drawn against the 2014 Congo league champions, AC Leopards for the 2015 Caf Confederation Cup play-off round.

The Nigerian contingent defeated MK Etancheite of Democratic Republic of Congo 1-0 at the 80,000 capacity Stade des Martyrs last Friday evening to reach the play-off stage of the CAF Confederations cup.

The draw held at the Caf headquarter in Cairo and was conducted by Caf’s General Secretary, Hicham El Amrani with 1st Vice President, Suketu Patel, 2nd Vice President Almamy Kabele Camara and Mohamed Raouaraoua assisting.

Wolves Warri who edged MK Étanchéité 3-1 in the second round of the completion will travel to Stade Denis Sassou Nguesso, Dolisie to face the Congolese between May 15-17, 2015 with the second leg holding in Warri between June 5-7, 2015.

The Beasts from Niari got crashing from the Caf Champions League by Egyptian outfit, Smouha.

Should they scale qualify from this stage, Paul Aigbogun’s men will face either Zamalek (Egypt), Sanga Balende (DR Congo), CS Sfaxien (Tunisia) or ASEC Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire) in Group B of the Confederation Cup group stage.
