The Chief Judge of Adamawa has been ordered by a Federal High Court to immediately swear-in Mr. Bala Ngilari as governor of the state.

In the court's ruling, it said the Adamawa State Deputy Governor Ngilari didn't resign his position before ex-governor Murtala Nyako was impeached.

The court has declared acting governor Umaru Fintiri's swearing-in as illegal and unconstitutional and ordered his immediate evacuation from the Government House.

The court also ruled that the INEC shouldn't conduct the bye-election slated for October 11.
