The Brazilian full-back has a year left on his contract in Turin, but has no desire to begin a second season with the Serie A champions, despite enjoying a hugely successful debut campaign in Italy.

The former Barcelona man helped fire the Bianconeri to a sixth successive Scudetto, as well as helping them to lift the Coppa Italia and reach the Champions League final, where they were soundly beaten 4-1 by Real Madrid.

Alves met with Juventus chiefs yesterday to broker his premature departure from the club and some reports have even claimed that the 34-year-old has already successfully sealed his move away from the Old Lady, although Juventus are yet to officially confirm the move to the stock exchange, which they are obliged to do.

Dani Alves has agreed a two-year deal to join Manchester City from Juventus.

According to Goal.com. the three time Champions League winning defender will sign a two-year deal at the Etihad Stadium worth £8.6 million, equating to roughly £85,000-per-week.

The move to City will see the Brazilian reunited with manager Pep Guardiola, who coached Alves at Barcelona between 2008 and 2012, with the pair lifting three La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues, two Copa Del Reys and two FIFA Club World Cups during their spell together at the Camp Nou.
