Chief Tom Ikimi, former minister of foreign affairs and newly appointed member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Board of Trustees, BOT will soon finalize his planned defection to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
THE CABLE reported that, a close associate of Ikimi said "He has lost faith in APC. He has been a pillar of the opposition for years and was shocked at the appalling way he was treated at the last convention of APC. They showed him no respect at all".
During the last APC National convention, Ikimi was bypassed for the office of National Chairman, a position which was later given to Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, former governor of Edo State.
Ikimi allegedly blames APC National leader, Bola Tinubu for his failure to emerge APC National Chairman.
