Sports Emem Eduok set to sign a three-year contract with a Norwegian club, Sarpsborg 08

Norwegian clubside Sarpsborg 08 have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Nigerian international, Emem Eduok.

Eduok came to the limelight last season, finishing as the second highest goalscorer in the Nigerian Professional Football League(NPFL) behind Mfon Udoh.

Dolphins are believed to have been offered around $150 000 (around N28 million) for the player, although no deal has been agreed yet.

"Emem has agreed a three-year deal with Sarpsborg 08 of Norway. He has agreed personal terms and the club have also talked to us (Dolphins). He (Eduok) will go for a transfer fee of $150 000. But it is from the sell-on clause that we will benefit from as it is around 50 to 60 percent of future transfer," a source close to the player told supersport.com on Wednesday.

Sarpsborg sports director Thomas Berntsen kept the name of their new player close to his chest while being quoted by Norwegian media this week.

"I hope that we can give Sarpsborg football audience a real Christmas present. We are in contact with a player, but there are still details left before the player can be ready. I do not want to confirm the name or nationality of this player," said Berntsen.
