Nigeria's Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun on Tuesday revealed that plans are in motion for the commencement of the construction of the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail line.
She made the disclosure in a meeting with the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts on Tuesday.
She said plans on the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail line had been concluded and work would soon start on the project. She didn't give more details.
According to her the execution of railway projects was the responsibility of the Federal Ministry of Transportation, and inquiries should be directed at the ministry.
