The News Nigeria has said that an angry mob formed out of nowhere to launch rock missiles at the Nigerian army in the north-eastern City of Gombe (Dukku bus station precisely), at the scene of the latest Nigerian bomb explosion.

An eyewitness said the mob was angry over the 'increasing impotence of the Nigerian army in containing the insurgency' and Boko Haram's deadly bombs. They were also outraged at the soldier' timing - they always come after the disaster, not a second before, they said.

This bomb explosion is coming just days after President Jonathan reiterated for the umpteenth time that Nigeria was winning the war against insurgency.

Many are beginning to believe that the power to end this carnage lies in the opposition's candidate - General Muhammadu Buhari - but to do so, of course, he would need to surmount the incumbent.
