Super Eagles player Hope Akpan is looking forward to a midfield partnership with John Obi Mikel in the national team.
Akpan broke into the Nigerian team last month, making his debut in the 3-1 defeat of Sudan in Abuja.
The Reading FC midfielder unfortunately dislocated his shoulder in his second match for the Super Eagles against Congo in Pointe Noire, where he was stretchered off.
And he admitted that he enjoys playing alongside the Chelsea player for the Super Eagles.
"We compliment each other well, perhaps because we basically play in the same country, and same type of football.”
"We understand where we need to be on the pitch. It’s worked for us so far and I hope it continues.
