Sports IOC to implement new reforms for the Olympic Games

The International Olympic Committee(IOC) have announced plans to make bidding for rights to host the Olympic Games, easy for prospective bidders.

President of the IOC, Thomas Bach revealed that they have received 40 recommendations which they aim to implement.

The IOC executives will meet and vote on the proposals in Monaco on December 8 and 9 .

"These 40 recommendations are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. When you put them together, a picture emerges that shows the IOC safeguarding the uniqueness of the Olympic Games and strengthening sport in society" the IOC president Thomas Bach said.

Some of the outlined recommendations will see an increase in the number of sports, and also staging of some events outside the host country or city during the Olympic games.

Also, women would constitute up to 50% of the athletes taking part in the Games.
