A 21 year-old student has been arrested at the entrance to JAMB's UTME exam hall in Nasarawa.
The Nasarawa state’s commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Mr. Bashir Lawal-Kano, said he was caught at the Nasarawa State Polytechnic centre.
The gun was discovered during a routine search at the entrance to the hall. It was a locally-made pistol, with two rounds of live ammunition.
When interrogated, the young man confessed that someone gave him the gun for safe keeping.
The commandant said he would be charged to court for illegal possession of firearms.
