After periods of indecision over which clubside to settle for,Nigerian starlet Kelechi Iheanacho is believed to have finally sealed a deal with Manchester City.

Iheanacho who dazzled at the FIFA under 17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates last year, seemed to have pulled the plug on his move to City, with both parties believed not to have reached a truce on a fee.

But the player's father,James revealed that a pre-contract has been reached with the Premiership team.

“The situation is that Kelechi hasn’t turned 18 yet and until he does, he can’t sign but what he has done is sign a pre-contract with Manchester City pending his 18th birthday,” Iheanacho’s father James told brilafm.net.

Two Portuguese clubs,Sporting Lisbon and FC Porto were closely monitoring proceedings in order to see if they could sign the player.

Another member of the Golden Eaglets team who is expected to team up with Iheanacho at Manchester City is Chidiebere Nwakali, who has equally held talks with the club.

A breakdown of Iheanacho's fee ranges like this: £300,000 to his club in Owerri,Taye Academy and £350,000 for his father.
