Sports Keshi snubs Efe Ambrose, calls Leon Balogun, 14 others for Chad qualifiers next month

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has invited Lille of France goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama and 14 other foreign–based players for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Chad in Kaduna.

The list also include John Ogu and Leon Balogun, who were dropped from the Super Eagles squad that crashed out of the FIFA world cup in the second round in Brazil last year.

Enyeama, a three –time FIFA World Cup star is joined by defenders Godfrey Oboabona and Kenneth Omeruo, midfielders Ogenyi Onazi and Babatunde Michael and forward Ahmed Musa, who were all at last year’s FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.

Keshi equally invited former Switzerland junior international Steven Ukoh, China –based Aaron Samuel and Odion Ighalo, whose 20 league goals helped Championship side Watford FC to the English Premiership, to the team that will face Chad next month in Kaduna and also called former junior international Rabiu Ibrahim.

New faces William Troost-Ekong, a defender based in The Netherlands, Kingsley Madu of AS Trencin in Slovakia and Portugal –based Anderson Esiti complete the list.
