Sports Keshi to have contract talks with Ethiopia

Stephen Keshi could make a swift return to football management with the former Nigerian coach expected to be in Ethiopia to have contract talks with their football federation.

The 52-year old last week parted company with the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) after a tumultuous time in the last three months which saw him working in interim basis.

According to a report on AfricanFootball.com, Ethiopia believes that Keshi is the right person to tinker with their national team.

“He is expected in Ethiopia late this week,” an official was quoted as saying.

“We hope we can get him because he is a high profile coach who has won AFCON with Nigeria and also took them to the World Cup.”

Before Keshi was sacked last week, he revealed that about two countries were interesting in hiring him.

Having coaching experiences in Togo and Mali, it might not be long before he picks up another coaching job in Africa.
