A university drop-out named Oluwaropo Tifase was accused of killing his 75-year old father, Moses. He removed his testicles while in police custody.
According to the accusations, he allegedly sneaked into his father's bedroom and stabbed him with scissors.
Neighbors alerted the police, who arrested the boy for questioning. According to the PUNCH, the boy's 65-year old mother reported that her son had once manhandled her during an argument.
The boy, while in police custody, used the tiles of the cell to remove his testicles.
He was then rushed to a hospital.
His words: “I got frustrated with my life while in the cell because I was alone and was abandoned there. I didn’t see outside of the cell for a long time.
“A spirit entered into me and said I should do it. So I castrated myself. I removed the two testicles myself.”
