New Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is already sounding out how he wants his team to be like,calling on the club's players to emulate the Dutch team he coached to the 2014 World Cup tournament.

Van Gaal will resume duties as United's coach next week,after stepping down as the manager of the Netherlands national team,leading his country to a third place finish at the World Cup with a 3-0 victory over the host country,Brazil.

"I hope the group in Manchester will become like this one," said Van Gaal.

"We have to sing from the same hymn sheet."

Van Gaal is expected to take a short rest before teaming up with his new club in their tour of the United States,and the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona coach said that he will give his best.

"I hope at Manchester United I can do my best," he said.

"I will do my best. Whether that's enough for the fans I will wait and see, but I genuinely hope that will be the case."
