Sports Manchester City not getting the best out of Yaya Toure - Paul Scholes

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes, believes that Manchester City are not getting the best of Yaya Toure this season.

The Ivorian has been roundly criticised this season for his tepid performances for City, with many arguing that he has been below par.

Writing in his weekly column for The Independent, Scholes said that City are not finding the best balance for Toure in midfield, which has indirectly affected the 31-year old.

"I don't think the central midfield is right, and that they are getting the best out of Yaya Toure," he wrote.

"He still looks laboured to me, you might even say he looks a bit bored. He has the ability to step it up when he wants to, and that could be the case on Sunday.

"My view is that the better midfield partner for him is Fernandinho rather than Fernando. Fernandinho just seems to have more to his game."
