Sports Morocco withdraws from hosting the 2015 African Nations Cup over Ebola fears

Morocco have formally withdrawn from hosting the 2015 African Cup of Nations tournament over fears of Ebola outbreak on the continent.

The North Africans pulled out of staging the tournament after failing to convince Confederation of African Football(CAF) to delay the comeptition.

CAF in its next executive meeting will now decide which country will host the biennal football event.

It is understood that either Egypt or South Africa could step in as alternative hosts for the Nations Cup,although Sudan have equally shown interest.

Morocco's Sports Mohammed Ouzzine said that: “this demand is motivated essentially by the last report from the World Health Organisation, which contained alarming numbers at the extent and spread of the virus.
