Sports Neymar ruled out for the rest of the season with an injury

Barcelona and Brazilian forward Neymar has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after the player injured himself in the finals of the Copa Del Rey.

Neymar injured his foot in Barcelona's 2-1 loss to Real Madrid at the Mestalla stadium on Wednesday,and will now be sidelined for four weeks.

"The player sustained a contusion which caused an edema in the fourth metatarsal in his left foot" the club announced on its official site

"He will be sidelined for four weeks."

He will now most likely miss Barcelona's remaining league fixtures and would now concentrate on getting fit for the 2014 World Cup which his country is hosting.

Neymar is not the only Barcelona player to have sustained an injury in the game,Spanish leftback Jordi Alba is equally sidelined for up to three to four weeks.

Are injuries to blame for Barca's woeful season? By the way how much was Neymar bought for again,40,50 or 80million Euros? errrmm with so many people in the fray,he could have cost up to 100million Euros who knows. With that solo effort against Barca,Gareth Bale has repaid half of the money,Madrid paid of him......lolz
