President of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF)Aminu Maigari has been impeached by the executive members of the football federation.

A vote of no confidence was passed on the Bauchi-born football administrator with the first Vice president of the NFF, Mike Okeke Umeh now made the Acting President of the NFF.

The NFF executives had a stormy meeting today at their secretariat in Abuja where decisions were reached to oust Maigari.

Barely a week that the excos were brought back to power after a court ruling that sacked them,it appears that Maigari's problems could not even wait for the next congress before he was booted out of office.

Maigari was accused of: "uncalled-for secrecy surrounding all financial dealings of the Federation and failure to call meeting of the Executive Committee for the past eight (8) months, during which so many weighty decisions on Nigeria football had been taken by a small cabal within the Board".

A statement after the meeting read: "the Committee approved the immediate dismissal of Alhaji Aminu Maigari, from the NFF Executive Committee on grounds of financial misappropriation, misapplication and maladministration."

Umeh will now oversee the administration of the NFF and also preside over the coming elections that will be held on 26th August,2014 in Warri.
