The 72-year old former Accountant-General of Bauchi State, Bappa Tilde has been killed be his abductors.
He was abducted last Saturday at the Nuru headquarters in Bauchi while on his way from the mosque, while he was observing his night prayers.
His death has been confirmed by security and family sources today.
Tilde was buried this morning after funeral prayers were held at the Emir of Bauchis palace.
