Nigeria will start printing currencies of Ghana, Ivory Coast and other West African nations starting from next year, according to the 2015 budget proposal of the NSPM. Things are already in place and the agency needs approval.

Excerpt from Daily Independent:

Beginning
from next year, Nigeria will undertake the printing of currency and other Security Documents (SD) for Ghana, Cote’Ivorie and other West African nations.

This revelation was made yesterday by Joseph Ugbo, managing director of Nigerian Security Printing & Minting (NSPM).while presenting the 2014 budget performance and 2015 budget proposal before the House Committee on Banking and Currency chaired by Jones Onyereri.

Already, the NSPM, he said, has commenced installation of newly procured state of art machines for security documents that would enable it produce bank notes and security documents required by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
