A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to appear in court on the 23rd of December and to maintain status quo on Lagos governorship primaries until it determines the suit before it.
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, former minister of state for defence who was one of the governorship aspirants that participated in the Lagos PDP Guber primaries had pleaded with the court to compel the party not to accept the result of the primaries held on December 8, due to the alleged over-voting at the exercise.

Obanikoro had also asked the court not to recognize Agbaje because he joined the party barely six months ago and, as such, was morally unfit to contest for governorship.
