This is one of those stories that don't just leap out at you if you're Nigerian, because the stories is not really about Nigeria. Not really.

Business Insider begins with the opening paragraph: "The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Asset Control added two individuals to its specially designated nationals list on February 26: Fouzi Reda Darwish Fawaz and Mustapha Reda Darwish Fawaz, two Lebanese men living and working in west Africa."

These two men are members of a Hezbollah terrorist group, " tying them to an Iran-backed extremist organization active in every continent on earth, as well as on the battlefield in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon."

Their businesses have been added to a sanction list (which means USA believes their businesses may be a vital terrorist tool used to further their mission), and one of them is the Wonderland Amusement Park and Resort in Abuja. (Business Insider explains why an amusement park is too conspicuous and terrible an idea for a terrorist front, but admits that the two men are not exactly known for keeping a low profile.)

Talking about the theme park still, something finally leaps at you: "developing a theme park was an especially brazen move, since by all accounts, Wonderland remains a well-known landmark in the Nigerian capital. The park's opening ceremony in 2007 was attended by then-president Olsegun Obasanjo in an event still documented on the park's website."
