Metro Over 45 people killed in deadly bomb blast in Maiduguri

As many as 45 people have been feared dead in a bomb explosion that rocked the city of Maiduguri.

Two suicide bombers simultaneously detonated bombs at a heavily populated Maiduguri market on Tuesday morning, which left many people dead.

The blast was said to have happened around 11am when people have congregated to do various businesses at the market.

A spokesperson from the Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed that "many people have been killed" in the blast.

Today's event will follow a chain of bomb explosions that have rocked Maiduguri, the hotbed of Islamic sect, Boko Haram.
