A member of the Nigeria Football Federation Technical and Development Committee, Paul Bassey has called for Stephen Keshi to be fired.
Bassey argued that Keshi no longer has anything to offer the Super Eagles and as such should be disengaged from managing the national team.
He further added that Keshi’s failure with the team was as a result of his poor choice of players he invited to the Super Eagles team.
"A lot of Nigerians say Keshi is the best thing that’s happened to Nigeria football, But with due respect to him, a Manager is as good as his last match” Bassey told Footballlive.ng
"If the Federation disassociates itself from Keshi today, it’ll not be because he’s a bad coach but so much is fundamentally wrong with the team,”
"The chemistry of the team and the quality of the boys he put together was totally defective. We need a change and with Keshi in the last 5 months there’s need to alter how things are done.”
