Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State says the ongoing political campaigns are impacting positively on Nigerians and the nation’s domestic economy.
Fashola spoke in Lagos on Tuesday at a news conference as Chairman of the Fund Raising Committee for the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation.
The governor, however, declined to project on the level of economic growth so far recorded.
According to him, the level of impact of the political campaigns on both the formal and informal sectors of the nation’s economy is visible to discerning observers.
Fashola indentified the beneficiaries as the media, printing industry, internet providers and textile industry.
Others, he said, include the nation’s hospitality industry, transport and artisans.
Fashola, classifying the economic boost as seasonal, said that an APC government would further grow the economy.
