A TV documentary went on air on AIT on Saturday, and it has been played repeatedly ever since. The dcumentary, titled "The Real Buhari", has been greeted with mixed reactions from different quarters. It is however the general consensus that the documentary doesn't paint Buhari in bright colors.

Sahara Reporters has responded by saying that the documentary is paid for by President Jonathan himself. The news blog says: "Buhari’s lead in the poll was despite the president’s shelling out of N5 million per daily showing of his sponsored documentary against Buhari that was being repeatedly shown on AIT stations across Nigeria, and online," referring to AIT's recent online poll.

Elsewhere it says: "To add insult to injury, AIT has since last Saturday been running a documentary aimed at hurting the public perception of Buhari. The hour-long documentary, “The Real Buhari”, reportedly costs the Jonathan campaign N5 million each time it is aired."
