President Goodluck Jonathan has nominated Mahmud Mohammed as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria.

PREMIUM TIMES reports that on Wednesday, President Jonathan sent Mohammed’s name to the senate.

If confirmed, Mohammed will replace Aloma Muhtar who is billed to retire on November 20.
