The anti-Governor Chibuike Amaechi members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have said they had endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term in officer in 2015.
They also called on Minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesom Wike, to vie for the position of governor of the state in 2015.
In a statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday, the lawmakers: Evans Bapakaye Bipi (Ogu/Bolo Constituency), Martin Amaewhule (Obio/Akpor Constituency-I), Michael Okechukwu Chinda (Obio/Akpor Constituency-II), Victor Ihunwo (Port-Harcourt Constituency-III), Kelechi Nwogu (Omuma Constituency), and Ibani Ikuiyi (Andoni Constituency) said they had to back Jonathan because of his the success of the transformation agenda. They said: “We members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Rivers State House of Assembly have endorsed President Jonathan for a second term as president in 2015.
