Bukola Saraki, Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology, on Thursday said that the senate had not debated the issue of the new polling units created by INEC across the country.
He made the clarification in a statement signed in llorin on Thursday.
In the statement, Saraki said that the statement credited to Senator Andy Uba on the issue of polling units was at best, Uba's personal views.
Saraki said that the position taken on the cancellation of the new polling units was a personal one and not that of the entire senate.
He urged Senator Ubah to allow INEC to remain an independent body and not to interfere in matters that could compromise the electoral body.
