Business Six FCT Area Councils Share N1.93bn Revenue and Excess Crude

The six FCT (Federal Capital Territory) Area Councils have received a total revenue of N1,937,036,351.75 from the Federation Account for the month of June 2013.

This figure is a drop, compared to May’s revenue of N2,213,498,696.45 (a shortfall of about 12.%, or N276,462,344.70).

The six area councils are Abaji, Abuja Municipal, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje and Kwali.

This was disclosed in a meeting of the FCT Area Councils Joint Account Allocation Committee held in Abuja on Thursday, and the Honourable Minister of State for FCT, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide said that the area councils received N147.62m from the excess crude produced.
