Nigerian born-England striker, Eniola Aluko has expressed her intentions to put her law career on hold as she focuses on full time football.

The 28-year old forward, who plays for Chelsea women team also writes for BBC Sport after bagging a certificate in sports and entertainment law, and for the first time in her career, she says for the "first time in eight years my double life as a striker and trainee solicitor will be on hold."

The Chelsea player is the elder sister of the Super Eagles player, Omatsone Aluko, who last scored for the national team against South Africa in Uyo, but his die-minute goal was not enough to progress the 2013 AFCON champions to the 2015 edition.

She claimed that this will be the most important period of her career due to the upcoming FIFA world cup in June, and hopefully, with hard work and consistency, she can win a silverware for both her club, Chelsea and England at the world stage.

The England player born to a Nigerian family said she was sad her club lost the title to Liverpool on the final day of last season, but said they have moved on from the disappointment- saying that with August's FA Cup final also due to be played at Wembley for the first time, there is plenty to be excited about.
