Sports Stephen Keshi "allegedly" applies to coach Equatorial Guinea

Reports have emerged that Super Eagles coach coach Stephen Keshi has applied to coach the Equatorial Guinea national team.

Former Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is also believed to be in the running for the job, as the Serbian is also believed to have submitted his own applications.

This is not the first time that Keshi has been linked with the job of the Equatorial Guinean national team. The 52-year-old was reported to have been in Malabo during the draws of the 2015 African Nations Cup, trying to negotiate a deal with them.

With his uncertain position managing Nigeria, Keshi could be looking for a get-out card to continue working elsewhere as the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) are not forthcoming with a new deal for him.

And Equatorial Guinea themselves are said to be unimpressed with their present manager, Andoni Goikoetxea who could be fired before the commencement of the Nations Cup tournament.

Meanwhile, the Equatorial Guinea Football Federation confirmed that they have received an application from Rajevac, although they didn't state expressly if Keshi had applied, but he has been widely tipped to land the job.
